Empowering Communities and Saving Endangered Species

Forests for People was established to support the indigenous rainforest communities, enabling them to live and prosper sustainably within the last remaining viable rainforest ecosystems. Forests for People also protects the Critically Engangered species within the forests.

Join Us in Creating a Better World

We're also committed to creating a better world for everyone. That's why we support the United Nations' 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our aim is to improve health and education, reduce inequality, spur economic growth, and tackle climate change - all while protecting rainforests and the wildlife that live there.

Empowering Local Communities

We believe that empowering local communities is key to protecting rainforests and the wildlife that live there. That's why we support mobile education programs that deliver practical training to local people about sustainable living practices. By providing education and resources, we're helping communities live more sustainably and protect the rainforest for generations to come.

Creating Sustainable Livelihoods

Our goal is to improve the welfare of rainforest communities while creating sustainable livelihoods. We work with communities to provide targeted conservation education and develop sustainable agriculture under the rainforest canopy. By restoring environmental services, preventing human-wildlife conflicts, and providing employment opportunities, we're helping communities thrive.
